THIS TICKET IS FOR THE DINNER ONLY.

The President’s Dinner will be held at Guildhall in the City of London, a few hundred meters from 15 Abchurch Lane , on Friday 25th February 2022 at 7.00pm.
The Great Hall is sited above the remains of the largest Roman Amphitheatre in Britain and was originally finished in 1440. Since then it has been variously burnt down, bombed out and the roof rebuilt in different structural styles, the current roof dating from the 1950s. However the grandeur of this vast space has not been compromised and it is the home of the Lord Mayor’s Banquet since 1502.
We are therefore privileged to dine there and visitors to London who have not before seen this wonderful medieval structure are especially welcome.

GRAND AWARDS CEREMONY
Preceding the dinner itself the Grand Awards Ceremony and presentation of the Grand Prix, and other major awards will be made in the Old Library at 6.00pm. The building was completed in 1872 in fine Victorian Gothic style but does not contain any books. Guildhall's medieval library was 'borrowed' in the mid-sixteenth century by Lord Protector, Edward Duke of Somerset, to furnish his new palace on the Strand. It appears he forgot to return it. Pre-prandial drinks and refreshments will be served.

BOOKING
It is expected that a large number of members and their guests will wish to attend and tickets are now on sale. Dinner will be served on tables of ten and members are invited to make up their own parties to renew friendships, meet fellow philatelists and reward long suffering partners.

BOOKED ALREADY ?
Those members who paid for tickets to the dinner and reception originally scheduled for May 2020 and who have not taken a refund need pay no more at all. They do have to collect their tickets.

DRESS CODE
The dress code is Black Tie.

DIETRY REQUIREMENTS
Please inform us at the time of booking of special dietary requirements and any particular seating requests.

GUESTS
Guests are especially welcome and it would assist us if the names and titles of your guests are communicated at the time of booking or in writing before the 1st February 2022.

REFUNDS
There are no refunds available for the President's Dinner
