After the end of the Anglo-Boer War in 1902, the Army Post Office Corps took part in Manoeuvres from 1903 onwards.

According to CW Wards notes APO's 1 to 11 were available for use each year until 1909 onwards, as the war clouds gathered over Europe. the annual manoeuvres including Territorial Units were carried out on an ever-increasing scale. However, no major manoeuvres were held in 1906 for economic reasons and again in 1911 due partly to the tension over the Agadir incident and to drought in England.
